Dr. William Brooke has a driving passion for education – especially as it relates to music – which is the driving force behind the creation of the Piper Music Conservatory. As a student, performer and now educator, he appreciates the value derived from an encompassing exposure to the several facets of music. He believes, as students of music understand the principles (theory) and influences (history) upon musical creation, coupled with specific instrument instruction, the better student, performer and appreciator of music they will be.
Dr. Brooke received a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University - Bloomington, a Master of Music degree in vocal pedagogy from Belmont University and a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in vocal performance from the University of Washington. He has also studied in Graz, Austria with the American Institute of Musical Studies as well as the Goethe-Institut in Dresden, Germany.
